REAL DEAL
In the summer of 1988 different people from different countries
(Italy, Switzerland, UK) joined their forces and founded a band who
was to become a seminal name for hardcore music in Europe: REAL
DEAL.
The band core was formed by Cesare and Giulio, both coming from one
of the most famous and respected Italian HC band the 80’s, CRASH
BOX.
After the release of a demo tape at the beginning of 1989 and a couple
of songs included in AVALANCHE2, a compilation of emerging Swiss bands,
they were offered by Far Out Records the chance to record their first
CD in 1991
The record received raving reviews in the main fanzines of those times
like Maximumrock&roll, Zap!, Blast, Rumore and many others and
REAL DEAL played headlining shows all over continental Europe and
supported other bands like Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Neurosis, Young
Gods.
The band split up in 1993, but the members kept on playing in various
projects such as ERODE (legendary left-winged Italian punk band) and
MATAMACHETE (industrial electro-punk Swiss project), just to name
a few.
Now REAL DEAL is back and we are busy with the recording of the new
cd “BORN HOSTILE”. A modern mixing of true hardcore, punk
and crusty rhythmic and a gloomy and angry vision of the world we’re
living in.
A crossing between Cro-Mags and Black Flag that you can’t miss,
if you still believe in hardcore music as an expression of DIY spirit
and commitment.
REAL DEAL IS:
Che – Throat
Mao – Bass
Mattia – Drums
Ste – Guitar

Deutschland & England.
